NHK has launched a special website to promote breakdancing, which will officially debut as a sport at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Just in time for the "4th All Japan Breakdance Championships" in February 2023, the site is packed with exciting features, including basic information on breakdance, real-time updates on competition results, and AR content that brings the moves of Japan's top breakdancers to life.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a curious newcomer, this site is the ultimate destination for all things breakdancing.
Design and Development
I handled art direction, website and logo design, as well as front-end development using Next.js. The result is a visually stunning and user-friendly website that promotes the exciting sport of breakdancing.
The website delivers real-time competition updates with engaging contents, including battle videos, detailed results, and tournament information. The score board visualizes complex judging system in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
We've captured the real moves of human dancers with Volumetric Capture technology and incorporated the 3D and motion data into AR experience, giving you a chance to witness their incredible performances up close. It's a thrilling and immersive way to explore the world of breakdancing.
